In recent years, the Raw after WrestleMania has become the biggest Raw of the year. The return of Brock Lesnar, numerous call-ups from NXT, Dolph Ziggler cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase all occurred on the Raw after WrestleMania. After one of the best WrestleMania in a decade, Vince McMahon came out in front of the WWE Universe the WWE chairman announce that next week there will be a roster shakeup. While the method has not been confirmed it seems apparent that superstars will be switching brands next week. And while many are trying to predict who will switch brands there is one person who should not switch brands and that is AJ Styles.
At the 2016 Royal Rumble, Styles made his appearance and the man who was a star at TNA and in Japan has finally come to the WWE. During his short time in the WWE AJ has had a WrestleMania match with Chris Jericho and after Styles was finished with Jericho a dream feud occurred. AJ locked horns with John Cena giving the biggest wrestler in the WWE for the last decade feuding with the biggest name outside of the WWE for the last decade AJ Styles. The program between Cena and Styles had great promos that were authentic and reality based as Styles called Cena a hypocrite for criticizing the Rock for leaving the WWE for Hollywood which was exactly what Cena is doing now. Cena did come back with some strong comments but Styles stating the grievances for all the fans that chant John Cena sucks when Cena makes his entrance to the ring.
The matches between Styles and Cena were epic and have become an instant classic as there was false finishes and suspense built up to where no one could predict who would win the match. And with this clash of the biggest stars of the industry headlining SmackDown Live, SD Live surpassed Raw as the superior brand. For years SmackDown Live has been the B show but since AJ Styles started running the place SmackDown Live has been the superior brand.
And now that the rosters are being altered please keep AJ Styles on SmackDown Live. The main reason why is because who came on the SmackDown Live roster on Tuesday and that is Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura is one of the rare wrestlers who can get over by saying very little on the microphone. Both Nakamura and Styles can deliver 5-star matches and both men are greatly appreciated by the audience. And if this feud is done at the right time the WWE Universe which has been critical of Cena and Roman Reigns would rejoice if there was a Nakamura v Styles feud. The crowd that used vulgarity to protest the Main Event of WrestleMania 33 would rejoice and fully invest if Nakamura v Styles headline WrestleMania 34.
